The Bowl of Seven Emotions

“Not yet.” Secretary Wu glanced at his watch. “He should still be on the road. He'll probably arrive at the company around five. This is an important appointment that was added last minute. Remember to remind the boss.”

“Oh.” Since Secretary Wu repeatedly emphasized that it was an important appointment, Tang Susu didn't press further. She would just wait for Shi Chengxuan to return to the company and tell him.

She originally thought she would have a few days to prepare, but in a few hours she would have to face him. She felt her stomach churning.

The time in the bottom right corner of the computer screen kept changing. Outside the window, the sky had completely darkened. Standing on the dozens of floors high building and looking down, rows of streetlights looked like several giant dragons hovering over the center of Fenglin City.

Dense traffic could be seen on the road, and crowds of people hurried past on both sides. It was a brightly lit city, but she felt exceptionally cold and couldn't help but shiver.

“Waiting for me?” A warm breath accompanied the voice.

Her back touched a warm human wall, and her entire body was confined within a small space by two arms, making it difficult even to turn around.

The speaker stubbornly waited for her to speak, with great patience.

Tang Susu's body trembled slightly. Not wanting to let him have his way, she deliberately said, “Secretary Wu asked me to tell you not to forget tonight's important appointment.”

“Oh?” The man behind her raised his voice slightly, seeming puzzled at first, but it quickly lowered as he seemed to remember. “Indeed, very important.”

He lowered his hands. Almost the instant she was free from his grasp, Tang Susu jumped a meter away, trying to maintain a safe distance.

Shi Chengxuan smiled. “It's almost time. Let's go.”

Tang Susu was stunned. “Go where?”

“On a date.”

Before she could react, Shi Chengxuan had already picked up her bag from the table and pulled her hand towards the door.

“W-wait, what date?” How did this unilaterally become a date? She was utterly bewildered.

“Didn't Secretary Wu tell you?”

“He said it was your appointment!” Tang Susu gritted her teeth. She felt like she had been tricked.

“Of course my date is with you. He probably forgot to mention that.” Shi Chengxuan tilted his head and smiled at her, looking completely innocent.

Neither of them were good people!

Shi Chengxuan chose a rather refreshing location for their date: the cinema.

Sitting in the cinema with popcorn and red bean milk tea, Tang Susu was still in a daze. All the preparations she had made seemed useless. Her relationship with Shi Chengxuan seemed to have been fast-forwarded, instantly entering the passionate love phase?

But she hadn't agreed to be together yet? How did this happen so naturally?

Experiencing her second relationship and her first official date, Tang Susu's mind was a mess.

It wasn't until the movie started that she calmed down a bit, only to be so frightened by the bloody head on the screen that she almost threw her popcorn.

“What's wrong?” Shi Chengxuan, now in his boyfriend role, spoke with a voice so gentle it could drip honey.

Unfortunately, Tang Susu was in no mood to appreciate it. Tugging at the corner of Shi Chengxuan's clothes, she asked tremblingly, “What movie is this?”

“Midnight Terror. Secretary Wu said it was very good.” In the darkness, Shi Chengxuan's smile flickered.

She decided to fire Secretary Wu tomorrow! That treacherous sycophant!

“I'm feeling a little hungry. Why don't we go eat?” In the car earlier, she had righteously refused his suggestion to eat first. Now, she had to eat her words.

“Didn't you say you weren't hungry?”

“Even if I'm not hungry, I still need to eat.”

“But you told me before that eating when you're not hungry is a waste of food.”

“You must have misheard.” Denial!

She realized what he was doing. He was deliberately contradicting her, knowing she didn't dare watch horror movies, and stalling for time. Damn it, she wanted a refund!

“Alright, whatever you say.” Shi Chengxuan wore an expression that said, "Women are so fickle, but whatever you say is right," making Tang Susu so frustrated she wanted to spray him in the face with soda.

Did you think that was the end of it? Too naive!

The CEO felt that the theater was too dark to see the way and insisted on holding hands before leaving.

Tang Susu took the initiative to hold his hand, half-dragging, half-coaxing him out. The difficulty was no less than running a 3000-meter obstacle course.

Finally out of the theater, the outside was much quieter. The two walked along the corridor. Not far away, they saw people coming out of the screening room ahead.

A man and a woman emerged. The man had his arm around the woman's waist, and the woman affectionately held the man's arm, chatting and laughing as they walked out.

Outside, the lights suddenly brightened, and Tang Susu saw their faces.

Seeing her staring at the two people walking ahead, seemingly intending to follow them, Shi Chengxuan pulled her back by the waist. “What? Did you run into someone you know?”

Tang Susu tilted her head in confusion. “They look familiar, but I can’t remember where I’ve seen them before.”

Shi Chengxuan wasn't interested in other people and didn't ask further. He took Tang Susu to dinner.

Although she said she wasn't hungry, Tang Susu didn't mistreat her stomach in the face of delicious food. She wondered if this restaurant was recommended by Secretary Wu. If so, she would temporarily pardon his crimes.

That's right, the imperial concubine was that capricious!

Halfway through the meal, Tang Susu looked up and found Shi Chengxuan staring at her with a mysterious smile, making her feel uncomfortable.

She almost forgot that they were no longer ordinary superiors and subordinates, but a real boyfriend and girlfriend, the kind who could hold hands and kiss at any time.

She shouldn't have thought about it. The thought made her stomach ache again.

He watched Tang Susu sitting opposite him, slightly turning her head to avoid his gaze. Her ruby teardrop earrings swayed gently with her movements, tracing an arc against her fair and delicate cheeks.

Shi Chengxuan narrowed his eyes slightly, adjusted his posture, and withdrew his gaze.

This meal was thrilling for Tang Susu, the emphasis being on the thrill! Although Shi Chengxuan didn't do anything, she still felt mentally exhausted.

So, why did she have to fall in love with her boss? Her brain must have a hole in it!

After dinner, the two left the restaurant hand in hand. Shi Chengxuan was carrying a box of the chef's special dessert – Crystal Taro Balls.

Along the way, Tang Susu's eyes never left the dessert box. Shi Chengxuan thought she still wanted to eat and couldn't help but laugh. “Eating too much of this isn't good for digestion. How about we eat it when we get home?”

Tang Susu nodded repeatedly. Watching the Gou Dan's eyes glued to the dessert box, its tail wagging, she felt exhausted. #####No confession :) Just playing hooligan
